About Me

Tyler Stettler is an actor who hails from Long Island University Post Campus as a proud graduate of their BFA Musical Theatre program. He spent four years training under multiple professors and learning a large array of acting practices such as Stanislavski, Chekov, and Meisner. However, his favorite of them all was the physical acting training known as Suzuki which he studied under the outstanding teaching of Maria Porter. Tyler’s outlook on the art form of acting was changed the moment he began learning the training and craft of Suzuki. He saw that theatre was not just entertainment, but was a profession of sharing and trusting those who you are with, using our voices to raise questions within an audience, creating stories that people can learn from and trying to implement the shows complex messages into their own lives.

Since school he has performed with many different companies and done many different shows. He first traveled to Lincoln, New Hampshire to be apart of the summer season at Jeans Playhouse which included: The Addams Family (Lucas), You're a Good Man Charlie Brown (Schroader), and Annie (Bert Healey and Drake). He next headed for Virginia to be a part of Busch Gardens Christmas Town in the show Gloria!(Amos). From there Tyler found himself at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey as a member of their Shakespeare Live company performing in both Macbeth (Malcolm) and Comedy of Errors (Dromio Double) However, most recently Tyler was seen in the first ever national tour of The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System as Arnold.

Tyler is looking forward to seeing what is next for him in his career as he begins this upcoming audition season as a member of Actors Equity.
